Try to guess where I took these and what they are

I took these at my buddy's new hunting cabin in CT. We watched a nice forkhorn less than a half hour later come within 30 yds of the place. The location is close to some great fishing and detecting. I hit the property where the cabin lies for a bit last season and found my second Hunter button, an iron button with an 8 on it and a musketball. Can't wait till the spring. Took them on your windows as they frosted over . I remember as a child I loved to play on the windows after they did that.
