Thank god for the higher temperatures the last couple of days!!!! Three days ago you couldn't even stick your digging knife in the ground, and today it was like cutting through butter lol I decided to go two streets down from where i pulled four silver dimes the other day.. The area dates back in the early 1900's,, so i was hoping the the SE would sniff out some good stuff today... I started down one block only digging one wheat cent and clad... soon as i hit the second block,, BAM silver lol 1945 Merc,,, That's when the magic started happening lol pretty soon i had 10 Wheat Cents.. 1942 1939 1937 1934 1956 D 1940 1951D 1957D 1919 and another 1942.. a 1919 Merc and a great looking 1948 Washington Quarter :super: I just recently started hunting the grass between the road and the sidewalk.. And It has been paying off... Today racks up 8 pieces of silver all out of the grass in between the road and sidewalk... Well good luck to everyone and thanks for looking

Thanks Bud :buds:
I have been playing with the settings you told me about a while back... at first i dug lots and lots of nails lol i would get frustrated and switch back to the custom coin mode... But i been just sticking with your settings and working slow and really listening to the tones... i have noticed my success go up greatly,,, Many of the silver coins i have found where near trash,,, and i probably wouldn't have found them...So thanks a lot for the help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully the weather breaks for you soon and you can get out and find some goodies... Good Luck

It's almost 60 here too. I am getting the itch. Nice silver you found there. Keep it up!

They do take some getting used to...but like you said...they start to pay off once you slow down and really listen to the tones. One other thing to remember is...don't be overly concerned if the SE nulls a little. If you are going slow enough...the deep silver will sound right through the null most of the time. You do have to creep though...so the settings aren't for everyone. Me...I love to slow down to a creep in the trash and try to pick out the sweet sounds.
