I went back to the overgrown woods again to take a look around do to a pause in my exciting life:wacko: It is pretty much 2 foot tall weeds everywhere in there. Except for the two or three small areas that were flooded last time. The water was down so in I went. I hit two small coin spills as you all call them. The first hole in the mud was the two BArber quarters,1901( no S) and an 1893, one barber dime 1902,They are in washed out shape but date is still legiable, an indian head nickle and one wheat. The 43 quarter and the rest of the wheats came out of the other hole of mud. The bigger round item said princess pat on it after a slight cleaning, Google put it as a Canadian regiment? I then found another advertisement item where it is the bottom of a ladies rouge tin. And plenty of skeeters. I forgot to put bug juice on my ankles for when I am kneeling down. Itch itch itch. No wood ticks yet!

I also found one of those tins up here in North Dakota. I succeeded in getting it open and it appeared it was rouge or some ladies makeup in there. The research I did showed it was from a company in Chicago around 1929.

I have a bottom thats in pretty good shape. What do you have to trade? Or what do you want for the top?

I bet you were excited when you seen the Barbers come out of the mud. Great looking finds and hope you can get back in there sometime and make more great recoveries like these. Good Luck and HH.:detecting:
