She slept pretty well through the night. Casey stayed over night to be with her. Both of them need that bonding. When I got here Sherry was telling me of this nurse she has. She is so impressed with her. She said her head hurt again it was like a 42 on the 0 to 10 scale. The nurse came in and massaged her scalp, talked softly to her about the Lord and gave her some pain medicine and prayed over her. You don't find nurses like that often. This is a Mercy hospital so religion is not a taboo as many other hospitals.
She said 'Darla saved my life and is an angel'. She is a wonderful person indeed from my brief encounter with her. Sherry is sleeping now...as is Casey in their dayroom. Talked with a PA this morning who is working on Sherry's situation with the doctor. We have been trying to brainstorm together (a team working for a common goal - not a I'm the doctor and you know nothing type thing). Seems this hospital has had some changes for the good. Thank you God for that.
With all the tests (still waiting on an ultrasound of the carotid artery) results coming back negative we are somewhat at a loss of why this is happening - physically. Spiritually we know it is a battle. The PA felt we might think he was crazy but mentioned it might be a migraine headache...one we have not seen before. We didn't know there were more than one migraine. We're hoping they can find something soon. Something they can say here is some medications and they are working to eliminate the cause of the pain so Sherry can resume a normal life. This sure is no way to live.
Well that's it for now. Pray that the cause is found and a cure is there to fix the cause. God bless you all. We all, especially Sherry, appreciates your going to the Throne of Grace to plead for her. Blessings to you all in Jesus name.
