Mother-in-law took a turn for the worse...

Pete in MI

New member
luckily she is still in the hospital so they could see first hand the sudden change in her from her earlier condition of almost normal. She has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's awhile back and been on meds for it...maybe they are no longer working??? So far they had found nothing wrong...did they really try????

Now they have to find an answer instead of 'make her look happy and normal and send her home' like they usually do and still never get to what brought her in any of the other times she has been there.

May God provide an answer this time.

Pete, I'm sorry to read about your mother-in law taking a turn for the worse....she is in my prayers...I hope she will be better soon.

She is not doing well with reality. When I saw her she smiled and laughed at ?????? over and over again. After I left her, Sherry was with her and she became violent, snatching Sherry's glasses and trying to destroy them. She is not herself...hoping they can get her back to reality.

She has her own personal god...not saved...please pray for her salvation as well.

I'm in the lounge so have no idea what condition Renee is in this morning. Sherry and Renee's caretaker and more is in with her. If they have not figured anything out by this morning she is going to be transferred to Traverse City where there are more experienced and knowledgeable doctors.

Will let you know more as I hear. (Am glad they have a free wireless connection so we can get on line to check emails and keep all posted.)

Pete.... please know first and foremost.. God is in control. I've been where you are 3 times so far in life. I understand. But... I believe when people claim they have their 'own God', that although they may not have said .."Jesus, come into my life etc", they still could be one of God's own, saved by Him. Only God 'really' knows someone's 'true' heart'. It's Him that saves and I believe He does that in many different ways... even when someone says..."I have my own God'. She might just talk with God on her own, she might have 'accepted' God long ago and her pride, (as is often the case with those a certain age) gets in the way of sharing her prayer life or time of being saved etc. with others. Think of the thief on the cross with Jesus.... did we hear him say ..."Jesus? I accept you into my life etc"? Yet, Jesus said they'll be together in Heaven. I really do believe that God knows each heart and what we 'really' think inside. Often, when those, say over 65 ish are alone... they pray, talk with God in their own way. I think God knows this and knows they are trying, in their own way to find Him. Hope this makes some sense.
