Buzz,
Let me say this about the SAT. Run it at the slowest point you can, and maintain smooth operation.
As one raises the SAT speed, the detector re-tunes it

I want to be sure that the operation of PI machine is operating at the max at all times cause I will be hunting in some hot ground in the gold fields, yes the machine has very impressive depth in my test at home. Out in the field may be a different story though, I am sure the Goldquest will do just fine, I will keep you posted after my field trips. Thanks "Mr Bill"
