Lots of pull tabs, tinfoil, and bottle seals. I would gladly sell you a custom made pull tab bracelet. 
Full beach's, high temps., and not enough time, has certainly cut into metal detecting. After Labor Day, the beach's are better to hunt. I'll go after the deep ones that everyone else can't find.
One thing for certain, you won't hear anyone complaining the the TDI doesn't go deep enough for them on the beach. Even at a 50% drop in sensitivity, it's still deeper that one can dig in the sand.
