I tried to dig after three days off yesterday at the local park. The first 4 inches of dirt were okay but wet however from there on down it got wetter and wetter. By the time I got to ten inches I just grabbed handfuls of mud out of the bottom of the hole and used my digging tool to scrape the mud off my fingers. What a mess. I think there is a silver dime down there somewhere but I made it to 12 inches and no dime.

There is a hillside I may try to dig on today hoping it drained better. I gave up yesterday after the first muddy hole.

I was running my detector at gain of 8 and it worked great. I tried nine since it worked so well but I didn't get more signals than the other day at 8. I am thinking it was the water in the soil. We must have had over 5 inches of rain in the last three days.

Have a great day everyone.
