Has anyone had an issue with updating to 4.0 using multiple coils? A guy on Xp Deus group on Facebook has a dead coil after trying to update to 4.0 I only have one coil so I had no issues, but I have a friend who has the 9 and 11" coil and he is afraid to update his now. Do you need to update one coil at a time like the headphones ?
Have both coils near the remote. Do the upgrade, follow the instructions. It will automatically do all coils. Mine did three for me. It tells you as it does them, pretty neat. Actually, amazing it works like it does. No problems with multiple coils.
I updated mine the other day and all three coils were found. I ran the update again today due to the -6.4 discrimination fix and my 11" inch coil and W4 were both dead. They were fully charged a couple of days ago and I hadn't used them at all. I'm not sure what is going on, but I'm charging them again and going to run some test.
I was able to do the V4 update on both my remotes, 3 coils and both the WS5 and WS4 headphones with no issues. Afterwards I was able to cross connect all devices with no issues also.
Make sure your coils are charged and near the controller when you are doing your update. Make sure you have deleted the old version off of your computer before installing the new version of the updater. Most of all make sure you follow the instructions for the update completely
First of all download the installer software from the XP web site or the XP classroom install the program.....Now RE START your pc (important).

Use the single data cable and not the 3 way charging lead.
Write down your saved programs.
Make sure headphones are charged and all turned OFF before you start the update. Only turn them on when told to.
Make sure you have a good internet connection.
Make sure all your cois are charged and nearby check the serial numbers are entered into the RC.
Sometimes you may need to disable your anti virus while updating.
