Mxt came through for me again.

I went out with the MXT and it's new 6x8 s.e.f. coil on it and hit the beach this morning. I usually hunt with my Excalibur and post on the "Beach and Water" forums on this site, but when I find goodies with the MXT I post them over here for you guys. I have been hunting for the last three weeks and not found anything but change and trash. I figured my MXT gave me some gold today because it wants to go out with me more often. It found the gold/birthstone ring right off the bat this morning. It was the second target that rang out. It read 22 on the VDI, I almost didn't dig it, as this area is littered with pop top tabs. I figured I would dig it anyway since I was trying to back in the swing of using the MXT and the coil I put on it is still new to me. I've noticed my VDI numbers changed some from the stock 9.5, but man this s.e.f runs stable in the salt sand---not water, just wet sand, it's still a VLF detector and will scream at me when it gets wet. Anyway, about an hour or so later, out pops the second 10k gold band. I use my excal because it is deeper and more stable for my conditions here, but I swear the MXT is a great machine and I love using it.

Thanks for looking,
Chris

Nice finds! The ring with stones in it is a Mother's Ring. The stones are the birthstones of her children along with their names. I bet she's sick. Big congratulations on a two gold ring day. That's awesome!

Many times a different coil will be 2 VDI numbers off from the original stock coil. That's not a big deal. Just remember which way....up or down.

Thanks for the pictures and for sharing your finds. HH, Nancy

Nice rings ! That's a day to remember.

My MXT doesn't collect to much dust either, high mineral ground here in Cali some time, makes my other VLF machines finicky, MXT rocks in bad terra firma.

Glad to here you like the 6x8 coil, everyone seems to like them. Mine had been on backorder for awhile but is now on it's way and should be here in a few days. Can't wait to try it on the M6.
