I worked hard for this!!!! I started at 7am and detected 3 different parks (just the wood-chips and sand areas, I don't have a spade to dig in the grass yet) and here is what I found with my Ace 250:

All are modern coins
10 quarters
24 dimes
7 nickels
96 pennies
2 tokens (Chucky Cheese & a local bowling alley)

1 Canadian nickel
1 junk child's ring
1 junk necklace and pendant
1 religious pendant "St. Charbel" stamped Italy
& uncountable amounts of trash & foil...

Todays grand total is $6.21. I would of kept going but my batteries died on me after 4 1/2 hrs into the hunt. I have new ones now, and tomorrow I'm going to try to get even more coins!!!

Wow!! That sure is some haul!! Great detecting!

I have never found that many coins in one venture; nice going :jump:

Are you sure that necklace is not 925? It is such a pretty necklace; you checked the clasp for stamping?

congratulations on a terrific hunt!:clapping:

Great job!!!! Thats alot of coin.

Greetings in the name of Jesus to all my brothers & sisters in Christ-----SURPRISE, SURPRISE, SURPRISE.....MA'S BACK ON LINE......!!!! It would have been sooner but this old gal still has trouble with Computers....I have Windows Vissta and sure is different from my old Millineal Edition that stopped working because of my errors!

Hope all are doing okay and being blessed mightily by our Savior and Lord! I've got to find a way on my Computer to make these letters larger. Sure makes it tough on us older folks who don't see as well any more!

Still have lots of work on the house to do. Cliff and I have had our bad days both in health and getting things accomplished. It is almost April and we're still not close to haviing it ready for sale...but not a good time to sell anyway!

God Bless & Happy Hunting for those elusive coins

Ma Betty

Well I'm going to be heading out in about an hour, I have a good feeling about today. Yesterday was an awesome (I had a ton of luck from above). I think it has something to do with my MD'ing on Friday, I was at a park detecting when a group of 5 small kids (I would say 4-6 years old) gathered around me to watch me dig a target, they had a toy poodle with them and it was sitting looking into the hole too. (The site could of been on a card or something, I think of a Norman Rockwell or something, lol) They were probably more excited to see what it was than me. My Ace said it was a penny so I had a good idea. I don't have a pin-pointer so it was taking a little bit to find it. The older ones were sticking their finger in and saying check here, check here. I finally saw the penny and showed them, a little boy (about 5 years old) got so excited he was in awe and just said "treasure"... He asked if he could have it, I said sure, he ran so fast to show his parents (who were not more than 20 feet away) You would think I just gave him a million dollars, the other little kids all ran with him and were just as excited. It was just a penny, but I felt so happy and my face was hurting from smiling so much afterward. I think yesterday was a reward from above, maybe it was some kind of test, I dunno.... :bouncy:

Every where I go, kids seem to gather around me, and surprisingly they all know what a metal detector is.
