MY 2nd Barber Q & my 2nd IH for the year + more

treasurefiend

New member
Today when I got home from the night job I wasn't feeling up to going out scouting around but I'm sure glad I did!!!! I bought a new HD video camera and was anxious to get out and try it. I was only out for 2 1/2 hours before it felt like I was under a magnifying glass so I cut it short but I'm going back Sunday morning for more!!!

The Barber is my oldest silver coin yet and I'm on cloud 9 with it - even though its super worn (maybe someones good luck coin as it was found on the river bank). :icon_pirat:

The IH looks in great shape, congrats and looking forward to your future vids.

Funny when you were trying to see the quarter and you got all excited, it's a barber, it's a barber, must have made your day. After something like that it's all gravy. That IH was only an 1" down, cool

Hey Treasurefiend-

Nice finds! Finding any Barber coin is a great day - a quarter makes it even better. Also, your video was excellent. That fob you found may be older than you think. It looks like the two bales are recessed - like it attached to a collar of some sort - possibly from an animal (like a cow or sheep) that belonged to the Hertz Stock Farm. You may want to do a little research on that place.

Good luck and HH,

Congratulations you are doing well. Getting a Barber quarter is always fun and an IH is always welcome.
I can tell you from experience that you don't always feel like going out, but the best thing is ignore that feeling and go anyway.
You will always feel better afterwards. Some of my best days were when I didn't really feel like going out, but you don't find if you don't serach.
All it takes is one going find to get the heart a pumpin.

Very nice finds for sure treasurefiend.:clapping: Man, it looks like you have a very nice spot with the possibilty of finding a buch of old coins. Keep pounding that place and I'm sure you will have some more nice finds to post for us to look at. HH.

Nice digs Fiend...and congrats on Barber #2. That had to be a thrill for you...as it would have been for me:thumbup:

Very nice! my second barber was a 1900 in the exact same condition!!! Keep it up man!!!!!

Even though that Barber Quarter is worn, it's still BARBER!!!:super: Don't matter if it's worn out or a High Grader....Barber's are always a welcome sight in my eye's....especially when they are the bigger stuff. Neat Tag also. I would do some checking on that. It maybe pretty old and if the Stock Farm is still in use and they don't use these types of Tags anymore, the owner may offer to buy it from you. Congrats on all them great finds and Good Luck and HH to you on your next hunt.
