my best SE find this year...

Aaron

Well-known member
I'm not sure if I posted this, but with the ground frozen I wont be posting to many finds. I did however find my oldest dog tag last spring right after I got my SE, at a old homesite. Coincedently, 1916 was the same year my grandma was born and she's still alive and doing well. Tags this old go for $150.-$200.00 on flee-bay.
Thanks for looking.
Aaron

Those kind of finds may keep you out of the DOG HOUSE with the wife if you want to buy another piece of equipment. Dog tags are something i find a good bit in parks but never take the time to look up. As an antique dealer it amazes me what people collect and the price they will give. Soooo now what you going to do with it? Dont say keep it or your right back in that DO G HOUSE... trust me i know lol.

Hey Dew, dog tags are rare for me, I've only found 2 in my 24yrs and I've never sold anything I've found, thats just how I roll . As far as the wife go's...I'm almost not married anyway. And if my soon to be ex, the "tramp" is reading this...remember: "...whatever a man is sowing, this he will reap" Gal.6:7
Now..on a lighter note, if I was to find some of real significant value...I wouldnt be posting it for the aforementioned reasons.:nono:
Thanks, aaron

:usaflag:Very nice old dogtag. If you are thinking of parting with it and don't want to deal with FeeBay, have a chat with this guy. kruesel@us.ibm.com. His name is Gary. He also collects trade tokens.

Finding those really old dog tags is fun and they sure are collectible.
I found this one last year and it's the same year as yours. Says the town is Berlin, which is now Kitchener Ontario. After WW2 they changed the towns name because they felt Berlin was not appropriate at the time.

That's a really cool find!! :clapping: If someone were to give me $100 for that tag, I'd sell it in an instant!! It wouldn't do me a bit of good just sitting in a plastic baggy or jar, piled with all the rest of my common knick-knacks.

Thanks for sharing!!

That is very cool Aaron! Can you tell me if this is a dog tag, I found it last year. I'm really not sure.

Hey amc. I'm inclined to say no on your find being a dog tag, only because of the shape of the hole which looks like some kind of strap went through. Maybe some kind of civil service badge? Great relic anyway and 110yrs old wow! Proably worth alot to the right person.
Thanks aaron

Nice dog tag Aaron.:clapping: Kind of neat also that you can relate to that year that means something special to you. Bryce and I can relate to that also. Have a great Christmas. HH.

Eddie

That is even nicer than mine!
Congrats!
