Same to you, and to everyone else lurking on here. Can't believe it's only
3 days away.. Been too busy to really think about it much.
I did buy me my xmas present tonight.. But it won't be very good at
finding metal.. Just spitting it out...
I've been needing a pistol to take when I'm out in the boonies
camping, etc, so I bought me a .40 S&W automatic..
When I'm up at my place in OK, I'm usually alone, and help is a
long ways away. Closest people are about 1/2 mile down the road.
I saw a black panther up there on Sept 1, "no joke" , and I've
had packs of wild dogs come blasting through the place.
They made me a bit nervous, although they didn't bother me, and
took off back into the woods the same way they came in.
Then you have the possible rabid animals.. And the possible two
legged varmints that might want to come along.
So I decided I would get me something to help me sleep a bit
better up there. All I had was a real old .410 shotgun, and I ain't
carrying that all over the place.
I had the choice of the 9mm, or the .40 S&W, and after much
hair pulling decided to go with the 40.. I fiqure if I ever ran into
something like a bear, or mad wild hog, etc, I'd rather spit out
the bigger heavier slug given a choice. With 14 in the clip
and one in the tube, whatever it is, will drop eventually.. :/
It also had a $50 rebate, and two free extra clips, so I'll have
4 clips total. Should handle a small war... :/
Anyway, Happy Holidays, and a Happy New Year to all.
