im gonna go out tomorrow and use it with my Cortes, is there any tips anyone can provide with pin pointing and such thanks in advance

be prepared for muscle cramps,,,,in your FACE from all the smiling you will be doing,, !!! Knowing how well your coverring the field and getting as many targets as you can is a great feeling IMHO,,, althought I don't use mine for older sites with deep targets without a second pass with a deeper running coil

Ditto. Find the hot spots with the CSC then swap out for deep.
Also helps to shorten shaft by one click from usual, you will be swinging closer to feet, and less weighty feel.

went out the last couple day after work and so far i like it it does cover alot of ground but it is heavier than the stock coil, it did help to shorten the shaft another click or to as Diggler suggested. i got close to 20.00 in change and 1 junk ring. im using my cortes with discrimination just above iron and also have the notch set as wide do you guys think thats about right. or do you think that by using the notch i maybe knocking out some rings?
thanks in advance and thanks for the suggestions

20 bucks in one hunt,,,, your settings are fine,,, WTG!!!

that was in 3 hunts.... i was worried about my setting with rings cause i really dont want to discriminate them out... well im out for another hunt...

I keep mine just below foil in dirty areas and a little lower if it's cleaner

try mounting the csc backwards long end to the back it will balance much better will seem light :detecting:

Of course with any notch you will be missing rings. But you gotta dig a lot of targets to get rings and notch can help lower your trash to treasure ratio. Most places with CSC I dig everything above iron if looking for gold. Unexpected finds always come out. By narrowly notching out one type of pesky tab you will miss a little gold, but dig far less trash. Schools and parks are places I would notch the prevailing tab in that area... Lake shores and sports fields I dig it ALL! With the CSC I don't waste time analyzing the target much, just pop it out and move on.
