My detector arrived

Got so excited when I got text message today from husband saying your detector is here. So could wait to get home and check it out. Checked out some of our yard. I did find 15 cents not complaining it was good practice since this was the first time. The dusky dark and mosquitoes brought me inside. So I will practice around some more in the yard the next 2 evenings after work then maybe by Saturday I'll be ready to venture to some of the suggested places.

It's like Christmas in July, only it's September. I totally understand the excitement level you are experiencing. I got my detector in Dec., not exactly the best time of year for detecting in Michigan.

Enjoy the machine and remember to share your finds, it's fun to see what people find.

Just bought a Prism III: I made need some patience. Found one old lil knife, a metal button, washer, six tab-a-ronies and 6 pennies (one is a wheat). Pray that I hit some good stuff.

Hello eaglei and welcome to the CMD Forum! Glad to have you with us and hope you post often! Practice, persistance and patience will reap you rewards when doing anything and for :detecting: too! Don't give up too soon until you learn how to use your Prism III as the goodies will come and finding a wheatie is great....where there are wheats there is usually some silver to be found! Go slow and swing low, unless you just want to find coins when you don't have much time to swing and dig. If you want the gold and silver, you will need to take time and think positive for finding these and my prayer is for you to stay safe and well and hope you find the goodies and in time when you truly know your detector, you will but of course there is always beginners luck for findind a big sparkling, gold ring right away! :smile! Smile and be happy and tell us more about yourself and family, providing you have a wife and/or children? Good Luck and God Bless! Remember, think postively and have faith that you will find something great!
