My Edge seems to have a nose...

for corroded copper pennies for some reason. On almost every hunt I am hitting early wheats with a thick green coating on them. Not that I have never found them like that before around here its just that in some of my local pounded spots they are turning up much more often than I recall with other machines.

anybody else seeing this?

Tom

if they are laying at an angle, even ever so slight, or near trash? I know anecdotally this can sometimes be hard to quantify.

Bill,

The first one of these I dug was on an angle as confirmed by the impression it left in the clod. One I'm not sure of because even though there was a good impression left in the dirt, the clod had broken apart. Since these were obvious coin type targets in a well hunted area I did check for nearby possible masking iron to see if that is why they were missed in the past, they were in the clear.

I have found the same thing. I get lots of Wheaties and Indian Heads. Sometimes they appear as silver on my Edge, although I have a great deal of iron to contend with.

Hi Regina,

Good to hear your Edge is the same. I don't know what they did with this detector but I am really liking it for hunting old iron filled sites!!
