My February Finds...

Craig-PI

New member
I did a lot of research this past fall and winter looking for area's I haven't hit in the past and scored a bounty of info on several areas I plan on hunting... I do research by talking to old timers, going to the library, reading and of course the internet... my first hunt was with my GT but when it nulled only twice I decided to go with my Dual Field... the GT found 1 of these gold rings... most finds were in the water... I'll show you a little of the type of junk I was finding... the spot has quieted down but it may still produce here and there...

We are awaiting the water to liquify a little here...getting out to the sledding hills and snow piles is better than nothing, and looking at everyone elses loot only fuels the fire!

Looks like the are you are hunting is quite old with all the silver coins and signet ring Are the top ones class rings? Awesome haul either way thanks for taking the time to post pictures Joe

Thanks... I won't post the amounts you post but then again CT isn't warm and toasty like florida is ;) our water temps are still in the 30's and the air temps when I was hunting were in the low teens... refreshing ;)

Yes, there are 5 class rings, 4 are the same but are dated between 1942 and 1962 and the BB is 1925... these are the finds my hunting partners and myself are after... we keep the old stuff and sell the fresh drops as needed ;)

Craig if I hunted through the cold spells like you have someone would have to get out there and dig me up!!

You're doin it right and in the right place too!!

Great finds Friend,

CJ

Great month. Hope March is just as good if not better.

I'm happy with my DF ;) Time will tell how March is... I have a few more spots I researched and want to hit with my friends...

Of course you have to take off for the stones and onyx but the 10k is worth $941 and change and the 14k is worth $779 and change... I'm not seeling my old stuff though... I have hundreds of rings over the years and I still have many of them... I do sell fresh drops though or I have given away a couple rings to friends and family members...I have sold for melt value but I also have a friend who has a internet store and I have sold quite a bit of my stuff in her store for a lot more than melt value...

n/t

Nice looking bunch of rings. Looks like the research is paying off.
