Hello Guys,
I know these don't match up to the nice silver some of you guys are bringing in but I'm still trying to get use to this Minelab SE. We started out at about 0800 hrs this morning and hunted until 1800 hrs this evening. I know the finds even fall off further if you think about how long I hunted to find such meager treasure. We went to a couple of places on a whim and hunted those areas for a while. I was extremely frustrated at the begging of the day, and thought to myself, "Why did I sell XLT and by this piece of crap" along with other choice words that I won't mention. I went from place to place with the same result and same frustration. We later went to a couple of house lots that we found, and this is where the fun and excitement began. I realized that the other lots did not have an abundance of coins, but did have quite a bit of junk. These two home lots then made the rest of the day worth while. I found a 1946 silver dime, along with three Wheaties dating anywhere from the teens to the early 40's. I had taken a couple of silver coins and laid them out the day before, and went over them with the machine. I listened for the distinct sound and was able to notice the same sounds at the last two house lots. I'm still not sure about the depth being any better than my XLT. I'm still operating the machine is the factory settings, but plan on making some changes real soon. I hope this doesn't send me back to the starting line again. I appreciate you guys helping with info and taking a look at my finds. These were found here in Fort Worth, TX. I wish you all the best of luck. Keep-em swinging.
