This is about as good as it gets for me,i don't think they lose rings here in Australia or jewelery full stop, so this will make the guys happy that get disappointed when they don't find rings.I never give up though.
I am not sure if you can spot the tiny earring at the top of the photo but it turned out to be a cubic circonia.

The one good find I get once and a while makes all the digging worth it.

Hi Maureen,

Here in Tassie my beach finds got less and less, I still pick up an odd ring occasionally, so I went to our local council and got a permit to hunt the parks and recreational areas controlled by the council, I'm not permitted to dig holes, which is fair enough as they put in a lot of work into the park lawns, so I just hunt the surface with a pointed screw driver and pick up heaps of money and a ring or two, after a time the coins start up add up if you see my post below there is over $500 to go to the bank on Monday, so don't give up parks are good.

All the best....Boony

Hi Boony,

I didn't know you could get a permit i may try that,at least it will stop me feeling guilty when i go to the park thinking i shouldn't be there.

Regards Maureen..
