Several Years back I sold a Ultra Mint Mark-1 LTD and have since regretted doing so since. Well Fortunately
for me I had another opportunity to purchase another Mint Condition LTD from a friend of mine in Texas.
The best part is that the LTD I purchased from my friend was the EXACT same machine that I sold three years
earlier and still as beautiful as the day I sold it to Mr. Bill.... I had an opportunity to take it out for three hours last Sunday
to try it out at an old Church Ground that I and another friend have hunted in the past with very good finds like Seated and
barber,I.H. wheats, V @ Buff Nickels, rings, tokens, and other items from long ago....Not wanting to get my Mint LTD dirty I put a Shotgun
sock over it and cut holes in the sock for the Controls..... I used no discrimination an just used the A.T.I. and listen for anything
above iron as the sock covered the meter too. The great thing about doing this is that you actually start to hear what the LTD
is saying! Those high tones that sounded Harsh and Clipped were always large objects that were identified in the All-Metal as
larger than Coin size..The Iron that pinpointed in Discriminate were off center when pinpointing All-Metal or gave the Harsh Double
tone.....After three Hours hearing mostly iron tones (with a few higher tones in between) I come to appreciate once again the pleasures
of the Mark-1's A.T.I.......I dug a few iron signals to confirm what it was telling me but when I hit my only coin found that day I knew whithout
a doubt that it was a good target By the Smooth tone it produced. Believe me if you use a Mark-1 like this you won't loose those small
conductors! Ohh! the Nickel was an 1888 V....
Without the Cover
A Few Items that Madjack and Myself dug up at the church grounds in the years past.
Don't tell mike But I actually planted the Barber Half for him to find..He was so Happy I couldn't tell
him so I let him keep it.....LOL!....
