My first CRH experience, I think I did good.

Well I finally did it, I got my first box of coins yesterday. I only had $100 so I got a box of Nickels. Here is what I found:

Boy was I supprised to find a Buffalo in the mix, it was fun and can't wait till I have more money to try my hand on 1/2's!!! I am not going to save the 1964's. I am going to change them in and get another box today. Hopefully I can find me some War Nickels or a Buffalo with a date on it.

The first rolls I bought ($190 worth) were like that. All the same year and mint but not winners. It's hit and miss with CR hunting. Yesterday I had $160 in machinr rolls. There was a 1967 (40% silver keeper)on top. After that, ziltch. One good one out of 320 coins. Of course that whole roll of silver made up for it but that's not likely to happen again.

I was reading on another forum about Coin Roll Hunting. My uncle used to do it in the 60's for dimes. I read the best odds are in the boxes of half dollars. I bought a box at the bank that came straight from the mint. I sorted through 1000 coins. Open a roll, sort, re-roll, go to the next.
