I just bought a used T2SE! Sadly I've been so busy I've barely had time to look at it... But SOON! I'm really hoping to get access to a place I used to hunt. Long story but its been pounded by all kinds of detectors over the years. I just want to see if the T2 can pull just one (or a few) more goodies outta there! Of course I need to learn the machine too! Then it's off to see what this thing'll do!

Congrats on a good choice of detectors, GL&HH

Thanks! I can't wait to get it out for a hunt. May go to an area in the boonies I hunt where lots of early settlers came through and lots of hostile Indian activity took place. Finds are usually sparse but can be interesting! That will be a good test of BP for me, old houses and such will have to come later, although I've been told there are remains of an old rock house on the property somewhere.

congrats on your new detector. Try not to run it to hot until you get used to it. Still gets great depth at 60 sens. Ground balance and go. Good luck

Thanks! I tried a little of everything yesterday on my three hour hunt. I can definitely say that the detector has a lot to offer, and some aspects will take time. This week I hope to head out to a remote location where many Indian/settler shoot outs and intermittent outlaw activity took place. BP is what I intend to use around the large rocks and terrain where I won't be able to swing close to the ground. Based on yesterday's experience I think BP and I will get along well! I just hope to pull up something cool. I've had an old gun on my list of 'dream finds' for several years-this is the kind of place for that. A couple caches have been found in this region dating back to all the folks that passed through. I'll be the first to detect this particular acreage-at least with permission. I just hope the LO is around for the next couple years it will take me to cover this huge place! He's already in his 80's..
