I believe the detector in the picture is one of Eric's first successful underwater detectors developed or used by Mel Fisher "the AquaSport".
Several years ago traded a Two-Box detector for this underwater pulse detector, At the time I didn't know a Pi from a TR. The unit arrived with a non-working 8" open coil and a Bone-phone instead of a under water headset, The person/crook trading failed to credit a refund on the coil "Long story won't go there"
Mr. Bill just posted a link a couple of days ago of a place back east that sells the Auqupulse and is the same business I bought the center mount coil pictured in the photo years ago, Before the new coil arrived, I hard wired an old BFO coil to the unit and it worked fair getting decent depth. Also, Replaced the Bone phone and hard wired a under water Garret headset. After replacing the coil with the newer center mount coil and under water headset the unit worked well, Just had to adjust the settings every so often to get maximum depth.
The batteries are inside the arm-rest tube making the unit balance well, Over all the machine was ahead of it's time when first introduced.
Thanks for looking,
HH, Paul
