My First Shield Nickel :bouncy:

Went back to the old home built in 1860's where I found the 2 Barbers and a few Indians on the last post. Was hoping to find more silver and more Indians.

Found pennies for a while then got that nice twang and dug my 1st Mercury. Now that the first silver showed up I kept digging more. Ended up with 5 silver dimes on the day; 4 Mercs and a Roosie.

Storm was moving in and I wanted to find a few more items. Got a nickel reading and decided to dig as found a V and Buffalo in the yard. Dug my plug and when flipped over I saw the nickel looking right at me. I saw a large 5 and stars and new right away I found my first shield nickel!!!

For the 2 hours of hunting I found:

1936d 1941d 1942 1943d Mercs
1953 Rossie
Shield nickel-working on date if I can discern I will post the date
3 Indian Heads 1887 1900 1901
8 Wheats 1909 1912 1916 1919 1929 1936 1937 1946
2 Clad dimes
4 Memorials
1 token which still cleaning
