My first silver dollar :cam:

Congrats! Looks like the $1 had a tough life - I assume it was in a saltwater environment for a long time. Any detail to tell what kind? It took me 8 years to get my first and only.

I believe someone stacked their money on a table or something and their house caught on fire. Heat fuzed them togather. MORGAN DOLLAR, BARBER QUARTER, 1904 V NICKLE.

Savage

Sure would have been nice if they were not melted together though. Who knows, the Barber Quarter could have been a Key Date but it would be worthless now. Still fantastic finds and I would be very proud to have found them and added them to your collection since it was your very first Morgan Dollar. Continued Success, Good Luck and HH.

interesting, I understand that finding silver dollars is far and few in between. I have been in our detecting club for almost two years and This is the first since then. But how about the odds of a barber quarter and a V nickle piggy back on it. One person in the club (20 yrs) has only found two silver dollars. Thanks, jeff & Maria, Happy Hunting Grounds,

Savage (EX-II) :minelab:

That is a cool find.... To bad the government will not take them back and give you usuable coins ,,,same kind that is,,, as they still have alot of each coin. HH George In Colorado

WOW! A Silver dollar, Barber Quarter, and a 1904 V nickle in one shot. Doesn't matter what condition they're in, that's one hell of a find. I bet you were smiling all day. WTG!

I could not believe my eyes :yikes: We had been hunting about five minutes when I got 00-26 and out they popped. Some people have hunted for years and have not dug a silver Dollar in any condition. Happy Hunting Grounds,

Savage. (EX-II):minelab:

Wouldn't that be nice if they would exchange them  I guess I will have alot of conversations over those coins in the years to come. Thanks carneygeorge. Happy Hunting Grounds,

:starwars:Well, even I have to congrats Ole Savage, and a little Jealous since I was no more than 5 foot away from him when he found it, and all I got was a 44 Wheatie for comparison, Oh well, it was old.

I should have known he would find the right spot for it as he does carry the Nickname, "The Silver King".

Congrats again Savage, I'm gunning fer ya'....especially since you not only took the dollar that day, you found one too.
