MY "HUNTED OUT PLACES" FINDS

I thought I would share with you my silver finds while hunting with the old CZ5. This lot contains only silver actually dug while hunting old ballfields, schoolyards and parks that everyone else says are "hunted out." Keep in mind these are areas I thoroughly scoured with my 1265X and my hunting buddies with White's, Minelabs etc were with me. I hunted these areas with the 1265X from about 1989 to about 1996 or so. I then bought the CZ5 when it came out. Mine had the white coil and a serial number of 300 or so. All the silver you see was dug with the CZ5 from about 1996 to 1999 and I was seriouly slowing down during that period so there wasn't a lot of hours in this pile. This isn't the wheaties I dug and other coins either. I found well over 500 silver dimes with the 1265X. Over 50 silver quarters, 2 Walking Halves, 1 Morgan Dollar and two gallons of wheat pennies! Case in point. It's still out there! Hunt hard, hunt long and it will show up. I can't wait to hit my first silver with the C$! I will post picture when I do. PS. Bill Ladd, if you read this please respond by telling me what you mean by "525" setting for trash.

I am not Bill Ladd, but what he means is 5 sensitivity, and -25 threshold.....I just bought a new C$ also and really anxious to use it after snow is gone..Sonny

what machines are you bringin to the Shootout in Daytona and plan to use?
HH,
Mike

Hey Mike,
I think he's about ready to dig out the pick and break up the ground. I'm glad Sonny is gonna give the C$ a try. You know how convincing I can be <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">

and would just have to bet that there is more out
there that the C$ would be glad to sniff out for
you. I also have a CZ5 and it's a fine machine
but doesn't have as quick a response as the C$
in my opinion. Sonny is right on the 525 setting
too by the way. Best of luck to you. I am sure
you will do well.

because once he gets over the learning curve, he won't regret it for a minute, I haven't. The only thing I regret was thinking of getting rid of it before I really gave it a change woo me.
Thanks!
Mike

Hey Mike, Are you going to the Great Southern Beach Shootout, on the first weekend in May 2005? I went to the 1st one, and paid for the 2nd one, but could not make it down, due to personal obligations (my father). But, I'm going to try and make this one, but I'll have to wait and see if my sister will jump in and take my father for a month. So, I can spend a month in SUNNY FLORIDA, and do some serious detecting. If I make it down, we'll have to have a couple of drinks together, and swap some treasure tails. HH, NamVetLesTreasureSeeker

we both went to the last shootout and had a wonderful time. Sonny is also planning to go to the shootout as well. It will be a blast. I registered for the hotel already, but I'm holding off on registering for the hunt until it gets closer, since the $200.00 entry fee is non-refundable and since me & my wife both will do the hunt this year, $400.00 is quite a chunk to throw away if an emergency arises and we couldn't go.
Hope to see you there, let me know if you are sure your going and I'll email you a picture of my ugly mug so you can recognize me at the hunt. I aint no beauty pageant contestant so no ones standin in line to put my picture on a web sight or a manual hahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
HH,
Mike

Hey Mike, I'm NO PRETTY BOY EITHER! As far as holding off, I hear ya, I had to forfeit my $200 deposit last year, but I knew that could happen when I registered. So, it was my own faught, and I had a blast the year before (1st hunt), that is why I want to be in the GREAT SOUTHERN BEACH SHOOTOUT.
I haven't registered for the hunt or a hotel reservation, because I have friends in Daytona Beach, and I might be staying with them. Anyway, I'll let you know one way or the other. I didn't do very well the first year, but I thought the hunt was run in a very fair manner, and had a very good time anyway. Meant some REAL NICE PEOPLE! Did you or Chuck do very well last year, as far as the top 50 prices went? HH, I'll stay in touch, NamVetLesTreasureSeeker
