My Infinium LS has arrived

Black Davy

New member
I just got back from a bussiness trip and the Infinium was there waiting. This was a super deal complete package with underwater headphones for $850.00 shipping included. Why was this a great deal because it was a floor model only used on carpet and comes with the complete warrenty!!! My man Richardntn at Backwoods Detector Sales set me up!

I broke it out of the box and set it up. I added velcro up the shaft and kept the coil wire straight to the shaft. I went out side turned it on set it to fast track pumped the coil up and down a few times SWEET!! It was smooth as silk.

No complaints of a noisy machine here this baby is quiet. I took of my wedding band and broke out some silver coins and rings and did some testing. It performs just as I thought GREAT!!! Hi -lo's and Lo-Hi's just as advertised.

I hope to get a sitter this weekend so I can hit the swiming hole that has produced at leat 15 coins this last year pre dating the 50's and the oldest was a 1906 indian cent. The hole is trashy with old metal nails but I will try to shoot the tones for only silver the first time out!!

Man it dosnt get any better than this!! This machine seems to get a bad rap as noisy and difficult to use. I completly dissagree. For one thing I did my studying and went to the Infinium forum, read up, listened and asked questions. All this has made this a easy macine to use. If you want the ultimate pulse machine this is it!!!!!

I've been using my Infinium for over a year now and I can't see where all these complaints are coming from. The detector runs great and does well in iron trash. The only 2 things I dislike are the dragging tones and the lack of a pushbutton max delay switch. ...Willy.

Willy,

I did notice the dragging tones last night as I was testing. It did seem to make the pinpoint aspect a little more difficult. Any tips that you use for pinpointing.

Hi Davy, would you keep us posted on your results with the Infinium. I am very interested in this model especially compared to the Minelabs. I like what you have to say about the instrument so far and I know it must have it's high points and is a viable instrument in the goldfields. I too have heard many negatives about the Infinium but I believe that it has it's place along with other brands. I mean for the price if it will find gold nuggets then it sure beats paying 3500.00 for a 3500, know what I mean Davy. Ok much success to you and the Infinium Davy and hope to see some news about your great finds. God Bless.

Phil from the Goldminingcentre in Australia runs it. There was also a test/comparison done recently between a ML PI and an Infinium which is on one of the threads. The Infinium did surprisingly well, though the unit he was using didn't seem to be as sensitive as mine. ...Willy.

When I was out in Reno my brother was telling me that a guy out there was using the gell cells similar to the Minlabs on his unit. The added power was supposedly giving him greater depth and sensativity. I do not know if any internal mods were made or how acurate this is as he has not actually seen this unit. My brother own's one of these high end Minelabs and also went in half on the Infinium. Unfortunatly the Infinium and the Minelab are on opposite side of the country.

Undoubtly the internal voltage regulator will only put out what it is set for. I have heard of no one who can modify an Infinium, it is run by software, so you would have to know code. Don
