Well, I ordered my new Tejon Monday, and it came today. I don't know what to think, though.......
I thought the coil was supposed to be 8x9. But I did order the 5.75" coil with it. I thought maybe they put the small coil on before they shipped it, but this one is only about four inches in diameter!
Someone told me they are sometimes hard to ground balance, but this one balances out very nicely!
And I am a bit confused about the dual discriminators - I didn't know there would be one for each hand!
And too, I thought the control box would be in front of me and not behind me. This arrangement will be hard on my back, because it will make it hard to toggle that switch!
And I can't find the battery compartment, and when I open up the only place I can find to put in a battery, I get this funny smell!
And the shoulder strap. That's a nice accessory that they didn't show in the literature.
And I'll need it. I think it's a bit heavier than what they say!
And I like the VCO, although I thought it would be pot-controlled and not trigger controlled. The audio does change nicely though!
I have lots of questions about this new rig. Maybe I better call Richard and ask if maybe something was switched at the factory.
