my oldest coin

heavymetal

New member
It's a 1937 5 centavo U.S. Filipinas coin.

The park that I hunt was near a WWII camp of some sort. This is the second time I found this kind of coin on the same park, the first one was a 1963.

I guess there's more of them out there.

Finding a new oldest coin is always fun. You will be stoked when you get a pre 1900 coin.

Finding your oldest coin is more than just fun. It gives you motivation to go on with this hobby. It's also telling me that I'm on the right area.

I'm located here in Manila, Philippines. Ever since I got back from the U.S. back in '06 all I ever found were modern coins because most of the historical sites in Manila was developed already or declared "historical site" therefore no MDing.

I know a couple of members here who have found silver but it was outside of Manila.
