My own advice

I've been following this forum since I bought my Pro back in May and I don't recall anyone advising searches of parking lots, especially loose gravelly lots. Last week I was at the beach and on my way back to the car, decided to scan the lot a bit. I must have pulle 20 pieces of clad (mostly pennies) in less than 10-12 minutes. The great part was that the probe found them quickly and I probably dug (literally picked up) more than half with my fingers. Now, it would be just as easy for someone to drop a ring as it would be a pennie.......

It's where I learned to pinpoint with the AT back when the ground was frozen. Took 38 dimes out one day, and 37 the next.......one a 1924 Mercury...plus several hundred pennies...yep loose rock parking lots are Mmmmmmmm Mmmmmmmmmm Good for clad coin shooting.

This parking lot is adjacent to Penny Park and is only about 10 years old. I figured it had never been hit by a metal detector. Coins were from surface to about 4 inches deep, right where the rock met the soil....... I figured out that the meat heads were sitting in the parking lot and on occasion dumping out their ashtrays.......pennies and dimes as they were mostly in loose group spills/patches. Works for me:clap:

The place where I work has about a mile of paved parking lot around it. Often when I take a break, I will walk around the building. Guys, get in the habit of looking down and looking in between cars when you walk through parking lots. I have found everything from pennys to 20 dollar bills just laying on the ground. People dig in their pockets while driving for tolls and the like. When they get where they are going, they often forget about the money they had on their lap. It is there, just look for it.

[size=large]i used to walk around a closed down drive-in movie lot during my breaks and lunch. got pretty good at spotting coins. they're the only perfectly round thing in nature.even bottle caps aren't perfectly round.
