My pathetic dibby dab...

Found this yesterday at a school/park I hunt often. Today was probably the worst hunt of my life. I became so frustrated I thought of selling all my detectors and taking up needle point as a hobby. I hit three fair-sized school playgrounds and found a total of three, lousy, friggin, pennies - one penny per playground.. The detector fairy peed right down my back today. I thought about cutting my wrists but I would have probably screwed that up royally.

I thought I heard running water.

have you thought of changing your style of hunting like hunting smaller out of the way parks or old homes around your area ?? some times if ya change the way or area you hunt you can do very well.

I've thought about going out in the boonies more like I used to but it just costs to danged much to go very far now and gas is almost $3.00 a gallon here and I hate fighting traffic. This is a big city and it's a long way across it.I used to have a route of out of the way schools where I was guaranteed a minimum of $5.00 and up in coins plus trinkets but they have all been discovered. I'll have to dream up something to liven things up. My wife, being a bed-ridden quadriplegic curtails a lot of long trips. When gas was cheap I never thought anything of driving a couple of hundred miles round trip to hunt but those days are gone.
