Spent all week sweating to death at work in 100+ temps and was looking forward to the weekend to retreat into the air conditioned comfort of my home for a couple days.... but I got the urge to hit the local park this morning. Man was it TORRID!!! I could see the humid air swirling around like a mist and I POURED sweat out of me! Luckily I found my best find on my first signal. In bone dry ground I get a deep sweet hit that locks on quarter - in an area that produced mostly seated coins before. Needless to say I was thrilled to get this signal. About 8" down in cinder filled ground I pulled out a dark gray disc the size of a dime. I could see it was Seated
so I stuck it away to be cleaned off when I got home. 3 more hours of hunting and water breaks yielded 4 wheaties and an old one piece button... and that was all I could take in the heat...
Here's the pic of the Seated Dime 1877CC in cruddy shape, but Seated nonetheless! That was my only trip out in a month... man do we need a break from this heat! HH, Mike.
