take everything I needed and walked to the nearest place for MD'ing! After approx 5 hrs, I found 17 Quarters, 16 Dimes, 13 Nickles and 21 Pennies for a total of 67 dirty clad coins in the amount of $6.71!
Well, I walked too much and had leg cramps and too tired to sleep well last night! Remember, I'm almost 70 yrs young! <img src="/metal/html/biggrin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":D"> And this ole grey mare aint what she used to be many long years ago!!! <img src="/metal/html/sad.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":sad">
My son's friend is coming over today to look at the car and try to find out the problem. He thinks my battery is low, but since I don't have a gas gage, I may have run out of gas! I try keeping mileage, but with the car being worked on it may have been emptied of gas more than I know! Anyway, I know God is with me and all things work together for the good to them who love Him and are called according to His purpose!
Ya all keep on keepin' on and finding those goodies!
And keep praying even for me!
God Bless & HH!

the sending unit, the device that tells the gas gauge how much gas you have is in the in the tank, has to have the tank lowered down to replace it. It can be checked to see if it is the problem without removing it. Someone needs to unplug the electrical cable to it and check the wires coming out of it with a volt-ohm-meter (VOM). If there is a reading on resistance, ohms, it should be working and the problem would be elsewhere. Your charging system can be checked with a VOM once the car has been jump started but without the jumpers still attached. Take the VOM and attach the posditive cable, red, to the posite post/srew of the baterry with the engine running. Attach the negitive cable, black, of the VOM, to a spot of bare metal with the VOM set to volts. If it reads 13.5-14.5 volts the charging system is ok. If not the battery is at fault. Any Autozone or Advanced Autoparts can and will do this check for free. Dirty battery cable connectors can cause this and can be cleaned without cost.Hope everything turns out ok for you. May God bless you.

Thanks for the info on the car! I've asked my past car repair man about it and he said he would need to put on a new gas tank....so never did! My ex had purchased a used gas tank that was dented, after I backed into a snow plow and punctured the original gas tank while at my sister's house. The weeds were so high I didn't know it was there until I backed into it! Luckily there was no spark to ignite the gasoline that was pouring out!
The battery was bought in 1998 and is about 7 years old and probably needs replaced. My son's friend had a hard time charging it with really heavy cables and began to think it was a bad solinoid &/or starter, but it finally took hold. The car ran for approx. 45 mins to an hour and hope it starts without me having to use the small jumper cables which I have. If not, I will call my son, who is off from work, Mon, Tues & Wed and see if he will help me buy a new battery and put it in for me! Will probably take the old one in for a charge and see if it is on its last output!
Again thanks, but the less I have to do with a car besides driving, filling it with gas or cleaning it, the better I like it! Typical female, heh? <img src="/metal/html/shocked.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":shock">
God Bless!

an hour at the beach and I found a penny <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol">
There wasn't even any trash to be had... everything is buried under sand <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">
Can't wait til the season opens for swimming at the end of May. I think I'll skip the beach until then and work the parks for now.

It's about time you took a break from the yard work! <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">
I hope your car problem is something simple.

my son put in a new battery and car started but I think something else is wrong, as 'twas really jumping and vibrating and may be motor mounts, my son said! Hope that is what the trouble has been all along and with new motor mounts should do better! I hope and pray anyway! After all, it is 28 years old!
Will get gas & do some shopping and see how it is running and then if it still running rough, I'll have my bro check it out as he works on cars and knows a lot about them!
God Bless & HH!

will post more later, as I'm very tired tonight! I mowed all my lawn after my son left. He put in a new battery & car started, but seems I've still got problems with it! Will check it out after I drive it for awhile and see how it is doing!
God Bless & HH!
