My SE is sick it has to go to Docs in Nevada. Man no Explorer. Ya'll humorer me  First day in five years no Explorer in the house.

Lay a Quarter dime and nickle down in a row and when you pass over them the only one it will see is the Quarter if you pass over the quarter first. If the nickle first then it will only see the nickle. The audio works fine on all three but the ID and Cursor never see the other coins. Now I hunt a lot of trash and Iron so you see this won't work for me. It justs needs some work. The guys at M/L will take care of it. No Problem. Just hopes it get back before I go to FL. to see the kids and take care of some business while I am over there. I will have them send it to the Kids address if not. In a way I wished I would have kept my Exp ll but I think the SE is so much a better machine then either MY old Expll or the first XS that I had. Ok I am back lurking :D: :D:.HH Jerry aka Tinfoi.

Actually have seen some nice XS units on classifieds go rather cheaply but after the early XS units they seem to go and go like the energizer rabbit so I can understand one not wanting a backup....but a week or two without one in peak season could be a problem...

My SE has always been like that, Never having had an Explorer before, I just thought that was the way it worked. But my unit's display is reallllly slow, but the audio hits quicker. Does that mean I need them to fix it?? Would really be thankful for your input. Sorry to hear you had to send yours in though, that sucks.

Anyway he got another SE and said this one works fine. We will see. M/L said it should change ID's and said send it to them. The coins were about 12"s apart. So it should have been switching ID's. Even with fast off and it should have switched. Anyway it is gone for a tune up. They should be getting it probley on Monday. I will call them later in the week. I never notice this on my Exp ll. Like I said I am a tone hunter.:D: :D: Jerry aka Tinfoil

Hey, please let me know what happens with your SE and Mine lab. I tried mine out the same way you suggested and got your same result, a friend of mine who has an Explorer and Explorer Two said the hesitation was normal for my SE, that the display has always been behind the tones and slow to update in comparison, so he thought there was nothing wrong with my SE. Point being if you get yours back from Mine lab and they've fixed or updated something that increases your SE display speed, then I need to send mine in too and if they send it back and say that there is nothing wrong with yours, then there is nothing wrong with mine either. So again, please let me know what happens because I'm really interested in the result. I bought one of the first SE's, the first week they came out, and who knows, maybe there's something they needed to adjust yet. Thanks again Tinfoil, hope you get yours back quickly.
