thanks for the advice. I am a newbie...just got the equipment ACE 250 and the pro pointer. ( so # 3 is covered )
I plan on digging everything ( # 2 )

Why do you add # 1 ( patience ) ?
Difficult to find stuff?
Difficult to find the good stuff?

BTW I am v. patient....just wondering why u added patience as a good thing in MDing.

thanks again,

For Me it just meant not geting frustrated or upset
when i dig up :pulltab: when im SURE its the
1803 Gold Dollar im looking forward,....

I learned real quick to just take my time and
try to learn sometinh every time i went out..
even on the bad days..

Have fun and Welcome to the forum

is this really a necessity? I thought you can use the detector itself to wave around at the piles of dirt dug out to 'pinpoint'?

I still don't have my metal detector (still looking for one) and wasn't sure if it was justified to drop extra $$ on one

cheers

Pinpointers are a great help in finding a target quickly. I've used several kinds and that Pro-Pointer is the best I've used. I wouldn't want to be without it.
