No that is a ball button off of a New York Infantry Uniform. The Zouaves 5th Corps wore them. Found on a battlefield where 5th Corps was camped after the battle. I have three and that one is in perfect shape. Thanks!

Thank you for the education, and Wow! I have found a few things (musket balls, artillery shrapnel) on Battle Hill, here in White Plains, New York, from the Battle of White Plains in 1776. It is always a thrill to hold American history in your hands. Thanks for sharing! - Terry
