Just do not use it much this time of year. Crops are in fields and old foundations are grown over with weeds and other ground cover. Like to use it spring and fall. Great detector for the sites I use it on and small coil works great. You can't go wrong with either the Smart or Gold.
 
:drinking:I agree 100%. Wife of 30 years or Smart? Tough choice some fall weekends.
 
Hey Geo you are a newly wed, been married 52 years next month! Great gal does not question my detector addiction, but I am down to eight.:help:
 
Not a problem here. She wants Gucci she gets it. You think detectors cost.
