On the way home from the gym this morning, my wife asked me to make out a Christmas list for her. I stated I had everything I needed, two great detectors and accessories and more fishing stuff then I need. She said, "well, I still need some ideas." " What about that new detector that just came out that you've been talking about?" I stated, "they were a limited addition and dealers may not have any left." "Find out," she said, so I just did.

I found a F 75 LTD and it is being shipped today. I, however, was told in no uncertain terms, that I couldn't try it out until Christmas morning. At 12:01 a m on 12/25, I will be able to be found at the elementary school about six blocks away.
Needless to say, "I am now chomping at the bit to give the LTD a try."
I would like to add for those of you that may be on the fence, so to speak, concerning Fisher quality. I have been swinging a F 75 for a little over 21/2 years and have done so almost daily for four or five hours and I have yet to experience the first problem with my F 75. It has traveled with me on airplanes and goes with me in my vehicle just about every place I go. The F series detectors may not look and weigh like they are built like a tank, but IMHO, they stand up like one. I don't abuse my detectors, but I truly do use them.
Before this turns into a book, I will mention, I did hit silver this morning after going without any since last weekend. Got 2, in fact, a Rosie and a Washington quarter. The Washington, however, was kind of gratifying. It was a one way high tone that turned out to be completly on edge about 2" away from a 3" piece of pipe. Whenever I tried to pinpoint, I got the pipe...so I ended up just digging the spot of the one way hit. I have dug several good targets on this site that I couldn't actually pinpoint because of nearby trash, but never one that was also completly on edge. I, again, was using the 61/2 elliptical coil with 0 disc., 95 sen. and 3h tones. I really like using 3 and 4h tones in the trash, as the high tone tic's alert me to investigate them very carefully.
