NASCAR TIME..

I know some of you don't care for Stock Car racing, but for those who do, WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE DRIVER this year?

I AM A JEFF GORDON FAN, BUT LIKE TONY STEWART AS HE GREW UP RACING 15 MILES FROM HERE AND LIVES NOT TO FAR AWAY, IN COLUMBUS, INDIANA.

I am a big Tony Stewart fan. I like a few others also.

Not interested in auto racing or the drivers, but they are using their God given talents, too, and hopefully for the Lord! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

I will stay out of this one. Racing makes no real sense to me and ranks right up there with basketball, boxing, wrestling, and the Olympics, in my book. However, I'm glad you enjoy it and wish you the best during the NASCAR season! ENJOY! And I will find something else to watch or do. :) The Talladega track isn't very far from me. Just guessing, I'd say I could be there in about 45 minutes. The main highway into Dega is only 7 miles from my house and is a MADHOUSE on race weekends. At the hotel it is also out of control on those weekends.

You kidding me??? That is one thing the south has! HMMM! Don't know about you girl. And what about the Olympics??? We gonna win some gold starting this week! Any game that has silver and fold must be a worth watching!
Just picking on ya! :lmfao:

I almost checked you off my friends list! Till I seen you like Tony Stewart! I don't like #24 or 48!
If you like 14 we can still be friends! :twodetecting:

Well, I'm MORE than willing to move NASCAR (and any other type of auto racing) to the North! I'll get in touch with the Dega officials and see if it can't be arranged. And there is a drag racing thing on the other side of Chandler Mountain from me, in Steele, Alabama. If I go around the mountain, I can be there in about 15 minutes. I think the name of it is Alabama International Dragway. I've even seen this crazy place on ESPN. Whenever they are over there doing whatever it is they do, we can hear the roar of the engines all the way across the mountain. Don't know how Steele ended up with such a place; they are almost as rural as Gallant. Anyways, I'll see if I can't get that thrown in the deal to move North too. Look for the official announcement of the upcoming move on ESPN.

Olympics??? GAG!!!! I'll pass on that one too. Just give me football, baseball, softball, and tennis for watching on TV. Oh, and I almost forgot, I DO like dirt bike and 4 wheeler racing. Since I'm a rider, I do find it interesting.

I like me some fast paced chess... in the form of tennis! Golf???????? Good Grief!!!!!!!!!!

All you do is move your head back and forth when watching it! :goodnight:
And if you like dirt motor sports, you have to take car racing too! They all go together my dear!
Besides I have a feeling you just may drive like a race car driver! :chase:
:wiggle:

Eh.. I think tractor pulls are more fun than NASCAR.

Then again, sitting around an watching the grass grow is about the same level of activity.

You guys and gals are soooooo funny about your likes and dislikes concerning different kinds of sports! I like the Olympics....but not all of it! I like the ice skating part....the races, firgure skating, dancing and etc. Some others I like also in both the winter and summer Olympics! Any thing to do with racing and crashing, using cars, 4-wheelers and etc.....is nothing but noisy roars, messy mud and destruction!  Remember, Ma is older than most of ya all and, since my dad was the sports nut, which the rest of us couldn't stand to hear or watch all the time, ya'll can enjoy them but not me!

I like reading the posts though and am learning some about sports involving those using wheels! Mike in MI is right....Tennis is nothing but head turning back and forth...so don't like that either, but I do like to watch volley ball and sometimes basketball, for those games were played when I went to school and I was a sub on our Volley Ball team while in High School; therefore, I know a little more about ball games....even the football and baseball playoffs when the Football Cardinals were in ST. Louis and won the Super Bowl down South with Kurt Warner as a really good player....he is retiring now! Like the National baseball games, too, because usually there is more interest in them! Sooo, Ma knows some things about sports....just depending on which ones! I used to like bowling but haven't watched the bowling tournaments in years! I used to bowl but never was great at it, but do have a trophy when our team won! Ya see, I am not such an old foggy after all! Keep posting and be humorus, for laughter is good for the soul! :) May God Bless! Amen! Betty

Tractor pulls are ok, but when grass grows it does not crash or fly by at 200mph. :chase:

Amen to the boring part! The wrecks CAN be pretty good, but I'll catch the replay of them on the news and not put myself through the agony of watching the whole race.

Nah, I'm a female and know how to separate things out. I don't have to lump things together. We women are multi- taskers. ya know.

You've sure got me pegged right, Mike! My foot is heavier then lead! I feel that 75mph would be an appropriate MINIMUM speed for most any road. There is an Alabama State Trooper that likes to camp out on the road I live on. He really cramps my style. I don't think I like him very well. I like speed if I'm the one speeding, I just don't like to watch others speed.... unless they are in front of me and my blood pressure is rising due to the fact that they aren't going fast enough.

Lisa

Agreed!!! When Tim and I first started dating, 29 years ago, I went with him to a tractor pull in Birmingham. THAT, my friend, was enough to do me for a lifetime. It was my first and LAST one.

Ma, I never played on the official volleyball team in high school, but did play a little just for fun back then. Everybody always wanted me on their team because I would play down and dirty! Hahaha! That's just how I roll....! As for bowling, I haven't been in years. Never was that great at it anyway. I would always end up getting bored waiting between turns. I have several boxes in my basement full of trophies (most of them 1st place... gotta brag a lil here) for tennis. I used to play almost every single day, for years. Been many a moons since I've been out on a court though. I'm really not able to anymore. With the arthritis and fibromyalgia, there are some days that it's hard to move at all, much less run around on a court. Come on down and spend a little time with me next football season Ma, and I believe I can win you over to the sport. We can even try a little baseball this spring and summer if you'd like. ;-)
