Drove down to a small outta the way park in a small old town this AM. It was a little obvious that this park has been detected before as signals were very few and far between. Only had time to dig three targets before the heavy rain started, first being a 52' wheatie, then a small metal button, then this one came through loud and clear from approx. 8 to 10". Wasn't really sure what it was when I found it, but after getting home and washing it up, then doing a little research, it appears to be a 1927-1931 Willy's Overland Whippet porcelain radiator emblem with metal backing. Never know whats gonna come out of the ground I guess. Thanks for looking, TC & HH, JJ

Thanks James, I wish I would have found the rest of the bad ol' "gangster car" that this fell off of but did enjoy the research and learning about them. Better weather in the next few days should allow for more hunting time.

Nice find JJ. You just never know what will pop out.:clapping:

Thanks Bryce, I have been trying to recreated most of your settings. I only have less than 20 hours on the machine, so re-adjusting to different settings shouldn't take long. I can usually run sens at 29 semi auto, but switched from gain +9, Deep On to gain +10, Deep off and am noticing my depth gauge nearly or completely buried more often. This seems to bring with it extra chatter, but picking out the repeatable good tones isn't that hard through the noise. A fair trade off. I still run in the basic coins pattern on the exp II and haven't messed around with the iron mask yet. I don't know if there is an advantage or difference between the two, other than opening up more of the screen. I'm sure there is, but I'm still learning. I haven't really had a problem with deep iron yet but have had my fair share of deep rusty nails. Thanks again for all your contributions to this forum (and others) and for the input in Andy's Etrac/Exp book. JJ
