Found this what appears to be a general service button made into some type of pin or brooch. This old homesite probably goes back to 1900 or so. Last year I did find a large general service coat button at this location. Shout out to the long gone soldier who was also a farmer. This was in Warrenton Ga.

Could be some WWI trench art. Or a widow’s reminder of her lost soldier boy. There’s a story there that we’ll never know for sure. Nice unusual find!
