Nebraska Detecting

Not from nebraska but welcome to the forum. Be sure to check out the faq faq post at top of page.

Hi Bob. Welcome to the forum. I moved from Omaha to Louisville KY a couple years ago. Did some hunting around Lewis and Clark Park on the river. Bought my Minelab Ext. 70 from Scheels. Where did you bye yours? Can't wait to see some pics.
Also, I have a Buddy from Red Oak IA that has an old Pony Express station on his property that I never got over to hunt. Let me know if you ever get over that direction and I'll contact him and get permission for you. It's only an hour or so from Omaha. Good luck and good hunting.
Joel

Joel,
I got my 305 from the Cabela's website. They had it listed in their catalog for $399, but the website had it for $300. Starting to really love it. I have been detecting off and on for 20 years, but now that kids are grown and gone getting into it more. I travel the state for my job so I get to hunt a lot of small town parks which I enjoy. I never hunted the lewis and clark park area have much luck there? I live in the Benson area so I hunt those parks. Find a good coin every now and then. Hopefully I can find something good to post pics. Several years ago I did find a 1914-D lincoln so I would say that is my best find to date. Thanks for the message. HH

Hey Bob, If Joel gets you hooked up to hunt that Pony Express station in Red Oak, let me know as I only live about 25 miles south of there. :detecting: I hunted one about 15 miles east of there, two weeks ago. Unfortunately, the old station was dozed in earlier this year, and the whole area has been torn up. Found one old Wheat penny and a couple tokens, which I gave to the owner. HH Randy

Hey Bob, When I was hunting Lewis n Clark I had just gotten my Ext. 70 and the stock coil. I was really just learning it so mostly what I found was trash along with some clad.
@ Digger. Where do you Live. Shen? I lived in Red Oak for a little over 8 years working at a company called D & L. That was from 1983 to 1991. I love SW Iowa. I always said if I ever hit the Lottery, I'd be back in Red Oak so fast it'd make yer head spin.
If either one of you want to try this spot, send me a personal message and I'll get ahold of my buddy who owned the farm. I think his son lives there now. I'm quite sure they won't mind you guys hunting it. Just let me know.
Good luck and good huntin.
Joel
