need a BIG PI's : like Detech / Notsi , need your help

Hi,

Im going to africa to treasure hunt, so I need a PI metal detector that can go deep, can anyone advice me on these brands :

DETECH SS3100
NOTSI MOLE

whats the difference between those PI and the TDI from white and other PI like Inf from Garett.

There's two basic types of P.I. Hoard hunters such as the Detech SSP and Notsi range which will search really deep with their large coils and have either discrimination based on the size of the object (will reject a coke can or bigger sized bit of iron but not a nail for instance) or have a magnetometer built into the larger coils. Discrimination is audio, low tone ferrous, high tone non ferrous or visual by meter or light or may have both.
These tend to be designed as hoard hunters first for extreme depth with very large, often two man coils. You can use smaller coils but they are not really suitable for finding individual coins.

The Infinium/Whites TDI are coin hunters with really good depth on coin/ring sized objects which does not mean they will not go deeper on larger targets, fit a large coil and they will, but their largest coils are to small to give real depth. They each have their own form of discrimination as its assumed the primary use will be to recover coins and rings and minimise the iron to be dug.

So if you are after cannons on a beach, a metal chest of coins or similar the hoard hunter type is the one to go for.
