Need help cache finding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Spent the last 3 days, about 8 to 10 hrs. a day looking for a buried cache. It supposedly has one of the 1913 Liberty Head Nickel and other very value coins. We don't know how deep it is, but we do know it's in a 5 acre area. It has fencing in and around the 5 acres, with out buildings and machinery. What I need help with is I don't know if the Quattro has the power with the 10.5 in coil. It's in a Ball canning Jar that may or may not have aluminum foil on the top. Would a bigger coil work or do we have to use something different all to gether? Any help would be nice.

It depends on how deep the cache is buried, anything over 2 feet would need to be very big to be detected,a big coil like the WOT will add a few inches.

Check out this link for some info

If it were me, I'd let the Quattro sit this one out and get the Garrett GTI 2500 with the Depth Multiplier.

Hey digger. It's not like I thought much about this sort of thing, etc, but 5 acres is a lot of square feet, and you are going to have to swing over exactly the right 4-6 inch bullseye. A guy would know about something like this if he was a relative or a friend of a relative of of the cache-ier, so to speak. The more you know about the person who made the deposit, the better the chances of finding it. You could write down a long list of questions about the issue, and the answers could help reduce your square footage problem... starting with the "5 W's & the H".. Who,What,When,Where,Why, and How. It makes a difference whether it was an old guy making periodic deposits or a kid playing pirate...etc. If it could well be a post hole bank, you may be lucky that most of the fences are still there. Sounds like a fun project in any case. Good luck with it.
