Need Help in Buying a Medal Detector

Hello All,

I am new to this field of Metal Detecting but I have a strong interest for it. My main interest is gold hunting in overseas countries mainly sub-Saharan Africa. I need to know the best medal detector that is out there? Please share with me the quality differences (not a price) between Minelab GPX-4000 and Explorer SE Premium Metal. If you are also aware of better metal detectors for gold prospecting, please share it with me.

Xasan, GPX line has been designed specifically for gold prospecting. Explorers, on the other hand, are "all-around" machines. So if your main interest is gold - GPX is the way to go.
