Im getting rid of old master hunter 7. Im looking to find coins and jewelry, thing like that at max depth.
Whats the newest out that would fit my profile... THANKS

If you are going to stick with the Garrett line, any of the detectors they offer will fit into your budget. They all get decent depth with their basic setup and will get more with a larger coil.
There is a rumor that they will be releasing a new mid-priced 'tector soon. They have just released a new 7x10 elliptical coil now shipping on the 1250's that is a sweet little coil. I much prefer it over the round coil.
Good luck with your decision.

jeff if you like garrett i would recomend the G.T.I. 2500 i just pick a used one up on a trade in with some old whites detectors i had and im impressed. a lil hard to use at first it likes nickles and i hunted a site that just the day before i hit with my 1250 GTAx and was finding the wheaties and silver dimes deeper that i was missing with the 1250 all and all i am happy with my 2500 i now use the 1250 with all the coils as my back up machine .

Jeff, I would go with the 2500. I just sold mine
but may soon replace it with a new XXXXX Garrett.
I like the Treasure Talk, a the ability to switch
between AM and 2 other modes if you chose. HH

Jeff, I think you would really like the 2500 with the imaging and treasure talk. It has several modes to hunt with and one custom mode you can set up, plus you have the all metal mode as well.
It would fit your budget.
I have it in stock, as well as all the Garrett detectors, would be glad to do business with you.
