Something else I forget to mention.

Sometimes a target that is severely masked,,, nonferrous target will produce some high static,,, it will repeat if coil sweep and coil position are managed. Just a tinge of high static,, you hear that be on guard.

Its coming monday cant wait. The only thing I dread is going through the learning curve of what the machine is trying to tell me where i can get into the zone But one good thing is I lost 30 lbs learning the at pro. If I lose 30 pounds learning the deus well that would be great! I watched a video of a guy using the full tones man it seemed like I got to get with it and learn it. I get the vdi thing in iron I tend to hunt with the audio more I know iron will throw it off bad. I can lay a nail by a quarter with the pro and see the effects of iron on the numbers. Im biting at the bits going to try to learn machine in full tones on iron infested sites .thanks for the help guys I know im riding on your coat tails and it will save me some time and my back!

I see folks recommend to folks to go more to sanitary sites to learn their unit.

Deus,, is different,,, it thrives in sites loaded with iron and nails,... Best way to learn it is dive into these sites using either Deus fast or the program above.

Dig some of the different tones--- before long you will start to see a few patterns develop,,.. In a more snaitary site,,. Deus will likely never be challenged hence you will not get to see how it performs and the tones/ sounds associated with nonferrous that is heavily mask act or sound.

Digging a suspect target,, cost you nothing more than a little time,,, but the learning can certainly be worthwhile and put you well on your way.

And Xp put full tones option on with earlier version for a reason....

yes the vdi will be different with both iron and coin under the coil at the same time BUT the tone will tell you that you will hear the iron grunt AND the other tone of a good target! learn to rely on the tones...

Thanks for the tips everyone and I will try to discipline myself to rely on tones more.

Is the full tones for just iron only or do you run it in general hunting too?

i use full tones all the time now... i tried to set the Deus like i had the TX3030 with break points and different tones for each "bin" but i didn't like much so i tried full tones like lots of people said and it was hard to get used to but now I'm glad that i did it. i feel that having variable tones is smother and more sensitive to all targets. as long as you are learning a new machine i would try learning full tones right from the git go. dig lots of stuff at first to learn what the machine is telling you and you will be surprised what you find.

can you adjust the tones in full tone to make the iron lower and the mid and high condutives higher?

no.., full tones are set... you would have to go into the other tone settings to make them what you want. you have 2 tone thru 5 tone and can tone on each one of them.... so in 5 tones you can set each "bin" break point and tone to what you want it to be.

I saw a guy with a program on youtube and he was using five tones because he said he was having trouble telling the low from the mid tone is it a problem to tell them apart?

that is what makes this machine great.... customization... all i can say is to try different things to see what works for you... full tones work for me... 5 tones works for the guy on YouTube.... what will work for you is up to you... don't be afraid to PLAY... nothing is set in stone...

ok you know how it is with a new machine just got to go thru the learning curve gonna give full tones a try and go from there thanks for the tips.

Ive already been hunting with it . pulled two wheaties and a cane end with a heart on it I think its a cane end. This is from an area full of iron that has been pounded by other machines! impressed to say the least will take me awhile to get used to the full tones but dug the 2 coins on those faint squealers .man you can here everything used the sifter program that was posted above.
