Hello members, I purchased a used pro pointer from a friend of mine. He had bought it less than a year ago from Kellyco's. When using it the first day the unit would for lack of a better phrase "run on", it wouldn't stop vibrating and ringing. Once in a while it would work properly but the next time it would continue ringing and vibrating even while been held in the air. The next day with a new "energizer"battery installed the same thing would happen at different times? In the last 5 outings 4 times I have had problems. Any advice would be appriciated.
 
Call Garrett and send it in they will send you a new one. Ask your friend if he registered it. The warranty is good for 2 years. They will send you a brand new one. Mine did the same thing at about the one year mark. My brother in laws did the same thing at the one year mark and he just sent him a new one should be in on Wed.:garrett:
 
Your friend should have sent it to Garrett. If not then
there must have been a reason he didn't, possibly something
not covered in the warrenty, such as dropping it in water. Garrett,
if I'm not mistaken covers only parts that are defective. You should
ask your friend why HE didn't return it.

You don't have anything to lose though by sending it to Garrett.
They might just replace it no questions asked.
