hello I would like to make new digger design, but need answer what type of diggers in USA parks people can use. I know from posts in some places shovels forbid ed and people use small like minelab hand held knife -digger. my question is what is the border line between small shovel and one hand held digger? it should be hand held operating? or size? not bigger like 10 inch, or something else? thank you for all answers Stasys

There's no one over-arching "rule" that covers the "US" in general, as there are infinate #'s of cities, counties, etc.... I think it's more a matter of using ... uh ... "due discretion" .... for "image sakes". I use a bayonnete (about the same length as a leshe), but don't flash it around, or take it out, till I'm ready to retrieve. If some busy-body wants to gripe, they can gripe about even a 2" long screwdriver, I suppose. So it's more a matter of picking low traffic times, and avoiding busy bodies. So long as you know you won't leave any trace of your presence.
